Fake Security Cameras

Fake Security CamerasProtecting your home and business establishment from burglars, intruders and criminals is a difficult job. Thieves, nowadays, seem to come up with innovative techniques to break-in. Hence, security is of utmost importance. Using security cameras help prevent criminals from breaking into your home.

When thieves see a security camera installed at the entry points of their potential targets, they get deterred from entering the targeted house. When thieves are caught on camera, it is very easy for law enforcement personnel to catch them. Thieves cannot deny the crime with concrete evidence in front of them. This is why thieves generally don’t like being caught on camera.

However, owning a security camera is a costly affair. Apart from buying one, you have spent money installing and maintaining it as well. In addition to this, you have to pay the security agency for monitoring the camera. All this together is sure to burn a hole in your pocket. If you want cannot afford a full-fledged security system yet want one at the same time, then fake security camera is an easy way out.

Since criminals do not want to be caught on camera, they will surely avoid breaking into your home or office once they spot a camera. A fake security camera or a dummy camera looks exactly like a genuine camera. It even has a wire attached to it. So it seems connected to an electrical source. However, it is not actually connected to any electrical source. If an intruder sees the dummy camera, he will mistake it for a genuine one. No one will have enough guts to yank out the wire and check if the camera is for real or not. Therefore, chances of crime are greatly reduced.

When targeting a place for robbery, criminals do what is commonly known as “casing” the place. If they see a security camera there, then they are not likely to target the place. They definitely won’t target a place that has security cameras installed when they can easily find a place that has none.

A dummy camera can be spotted easily. Once the thieves spot the camera, they will generally not think of stealing from that place. It, thus, protects the house. In most cases, it protects not only the house but also the entire area. Dummy cameras also reduce incidences like assault, mugging etc. From the people’s point of view, they also feel more secure if they see a security camera in place. So far as neighbours and passer-by do not realize that you have installed a fake camera, they will really feel very safe while passing through your area.
