2. Wireless house alarm systemsare probably the most common and popular systems because of their flexibility and scalability. Many wireless systems can even be installed by the home owner  without the aid of a pro

fessional installer. These are considered DIY ( Do it Yourself ) systems that can be purchased at most reputable hardware stores. More expensive systems will require professional installation , but can offer many more features, such as hidden cameras, out door surveillance cameras, driveway alarm systems, and even remote access features to activate or deactivate the system form another location altogether.


The advantages of wireless systems is that that come in many price ranges, flexible and are easy to upgrade.
Disadvantages is that many systems rely on battery power, so they must constantly be checked, however many more expensive systems rely on house hold power and come with back up battery systems

3. ) Monitored systems are the most expensive type of house alarm system , however also the most secure. In the event of a break in, the alarm will alert the monitoring station whereby the staff will contact you and the proper authorities to dispatch to your home.

Advantages are that you have increased security 24/7 all year round. Disadvantages are that you will most likely be obligated to sign a contract for certain period of time , usually ranging form 2 to 5 yrs and there is usually a small monthly fee ranging in price form around 25.00 -50.00 per month.
