Honeywell-Complete Home Alarm System
everyone’s security needs, be it a basic home security system to a fully integrated home intrusion prevention center.
One of the great things about Honeywell is that they are constantly improving and an adding new products on the market making them a leader in the industry. Their development department is constantly pushing the boundaries of technology to help bring better products to the consumer.
Here are some features of a standard residential security system :

Honeywell-Alarm-Control panel
Control panel :
A security system will start with a control panel which contains the brains of the system. The control unit would
be usually located in a concealed area of the house such as the basement or in a closet. All the sensors that are situated in the house are all connected to this central unit. If the system detects a breach in security with any one of the sensors, the control panel will automatically dial the monitoring system, which in turn will contact
the proper authorities.
Keypad:
This is the device in which you will use to set and arm or disarm the system with a password. The key pad provides a large easy to read display window that shows the status of the alarm system. the system can also allow for multiple passwords for different family members or neighbors.
Magnetic contacts:

Honeywell magnetic sensors
These are 2 part devices that are put in the windows or doors. One part contains a switch that is inserted on one side of the window or door and the other contains a magnet which is put on the other side creating an electronic “seal” , if the door or windows are compromised, the movement will disconnect the electrical flow and trigger the alarm.
PIR:
A passive infrared motion detector is an electronic security device that detects intruders by “sensing” motion or body heat in the area being protected. The system is to be used when there is nobody at the premises.
Pet Immune System:
The beauty of the Honeywell PIR ( passive infrared motion detector )is that it is safe to leave your pets roam freely in the house without triggering the system. It will not detect any animal that is less than 100 lbs, therefore it can differentiate between animals and intruders.
