Home Alarms and Security Systems Guide

Home Security Systems

Compare-Home-Securities-Systems-Prices-for-FreeWith home invasions rising every year, many homeowners are considering purchasing a home securities system  in their homes. For those of you who are in the market for a good home security system , then there are a few things to look at and consider.

There are three main types of home securities systems that you can choose from depending on your needs and budget.

The first type of system is known as the hard wired system. it is basically what its name implies. This type of system required the passing through of wall within the walls of the home there fore making it a permanent installation. This type of system is a good choice if you are in the process of having the home built and therefore integrating a hard wired system during the construction phase would be the best time to install it. However if the home is already built then you may want to opt for a wireless system. The main advantage of a hard wired system is that it is a very durable set up and will increase the homes value for selling later on , due to the fact that it is already installed. A hard wired system is quite a bit more expensive due to the installation requirements.

The second type and probably the most popular is the wireless home securities system. This is due to the fact that they are generally a lot less expensive  than a hard wired system and is much easier to install. Other benefit is that if you decide to move the system can be easily disassembles and reinstalled at another location.  Some alarm
companies such as ADT will even offer you another system for free in your new home as long as you remain with them for the monitoring services.

Another advantage is that there are many do it yourself wireless alarm systems that cost very little and are very easy to install by yourself, thus saving on the expense of a professional installer. The main disadvantage of a wireless system is that the lower end models are battery powered, which requires a constant maintenance to ensure that all components are functioning adequately.

The third newest type of home securities system is the web based connected security system. this can actually be in the form of either a hard wired system or wireless.

This can also be integrated with security cameras  to allow the homeowner to view remotely any activity that may take place while they are at work or away. In the case of a break in, the system can immediately send a signal to either the home owner s other computer terminal or even send a signal via their cell phone. This is obliviously a more sophisticated system , but can be considered as an upgrade if one decided to add additional security to their home or office.
