However, the scope of the view is very small. Therefore, it’s not necessary that you will see the person at the door clearly.

Another system used at door entry is the video door entry system. It is affixed close to the wall. When the bell rings, the system gets activated and the entire lobby and corridor can be seen from inside your home. You can see the person and interact with the person without having to actually open the door. This helps you to check with the sources the person and his visiting purpose behind closed doors.
For high security systems and zones with restricted entries, there is a computerized system of door entry in place. The doors have a high power and open only with a security code or an access card. In some modern systems, only finger prints of some people will grant an entry. Such systems are termed as biometric systems. While an access card can be stolen for entry, you cannot replace the fingerprints.

Intercom Systems
It is an independent means of telecommunication device and works only within a certain area of buildings or house. In case of intercoms, there are phones fixed within the rooms, homes or buildings. They can be used in combination with videos for entry as it enables you to interact with the person before granting entry. Apart from individual homes, these are used in buildings as well. A person’s identity can be cross checked by the security personnel of the building with the homeowners before granting them an entry.
