Do you really need a Driveway Monitor?

If you have an especially long or hidden type of driveway, this is exactly the type of place that a burglar or thief will try to exploit and use to his advantage when sneaking up on your house.

Is it possible that you have ever been surprised to hear your door bell ring when you didn’t know there was someone on your property ? A) Wired Driveway Monitors: These devices are meant to be buried along side the driveway  with a wire running under ground to a central alarm system. These system are usually designed to detect only metal as to not sound when animals, people etc pass on the premises.  The price range for such a device is around $200.00- $300.00 range.

B) Wireless Driveway Monitors: There are many varieties and ranges of these types of driveway alarm systems,  however , the basic idea is to set a sensor near the driveway itself , and it will be able to detect movement from a distance away ( the actual range will vary from depending on the model ) . This device will detect all moving objects, such as cars, people and animals and will then transmitt the signal to a main receiver which will alert the owner.  Price range $80.00- $300.00

C) Super Long Range Alerts: These probes are buried under or near the

driveway being  with the transmitter  placed on a tree or post at a height of approximately 4 feet. These long range driveway alarm systems can
detect motion from up to 4 miles. This is perfect for remote locations and country homes. Price range $200.00- $300.00

D) Magnetic Probe Driveway Sensors: These can be wired or wireless systems, that use magnetic to detect
motion and will only detect metal objects such as cars as to not sound false alarms for animals, people.  Price range $80.00- $300.00

E) Infra-Red Driveway Sensors: Mostly wireless,  these systems comprise of 2 main components, 1. The actual infrared sensor that can be placed in a tree or nearby post to the driveway and will send a signal to the receiver. This will detect all moving objects including cars, people,and animals. Price range $80.00- $300.00

F) Rubber Hose Driveway Sensors: This is an easy system to install, where a a rubber hose will be placed across the driveway, similar to what we see at gas stations and will alert the owner only when a vehicle passes over it. Price range $100.00- $300.00
